Ah, Japan. He hadn't been here in a while. A long while. But he had rediscovered an old friend who had opened up this school, and he didn't have a pressing need to do anything else with his life for the next few years. Moving to another country and completely flipping his sleep schedule for the sake of teaching unruly supernatural high schoolers history? Sure, he could do that. Hell, what he had lived through seemed like ancient history to most. He could have just taught a class on that. But people liked the full story, from the "beginning" to the "end" as perceived by the majority of the population. Ivan knew better than most that history wasn't always the truth, but that alone didn't mean that it wasn't valuable. That's why he was here, he supposed. Learning things is all well and good, but knowledge doesn't have much use if it's not shared. It's just trapped in the brain, decaying over time and vanishing with death. And with that overwhelmingly optimistic thought in mind, Ivan slung his leather satchel over his shoulder and picked up a box of books, papers, and other miscellaneous materials. He was moving his things into his classroom today, which wouldn't be so bad if he didn't have so many damn things to move. It was no secret that Ivan was a lover of books and art, so, despite not being a literature teacher, his room, which doubled as his personal office, would likely end up looking like a strange hybridization of a compact library and an art studio. Unfortunately, one of his books slid and fell over the top of the box (he had it filled to the brim) as he tilted it and redistributed the weight to get one hand free to open the door. "Mannaggia," he muttered to himself, then glanced over to a student passing through the hall and called him over, "Hey, could you pick that up for me if you're not in a rush?"The book itself looked old, but not degraded enough to fall apart while being read, and the simple brown binding held no indication as to what was inside. Colored papers with scrawled notes and sketches stuck out of the pages, as did some clips of pictures, all of which had somehow managed to remain nestled within the pages on impact. The pictures, notes, and actual content of the book all seemed to pertain to the Italian Renaissance. He had been looking through and sticking in notes about what was wrong and what needed embellishment before he came, so of course it ended up on top. "You can just put it on the desk for now... I'll find a place for it once I get my other things," he said, leaning his back against the door to hold it open. ____________________ ooc: ehhh I was too lazy to get a template, sorry >.<

He didn't need to deal with these things. Keisuke had so many thoughts in his mind, mostly about Suzu and her little rival Shiro. Just whoever he was. The only reason Keisuke had been able to run around the sun wasn't so bad. It wouldn't burn him up in a matter of seconds. But he wouldn't get too close to either, he just wanted the sun to go down completely. Hearing someone moving around Keisuke flinched pushing his silver hair out of his eyes.
Violet eyes glanced around the halls as he began to walk past. There was a noise like something fell, and the voice again. Was it towards him? Well no one else seemed to be in the hall. So that explained a lot didn't it? With a small sigh he tried to glance around. Tried to figure things out the best he possibly could. He leaned down his fingers gently wrapping around the book pulling it up.
Keisuke held it flat in his hands as he walked into the classroom. This was weird. He never thought he'd be around at this point. But maybe it was supposed to happen. The boy barely knew. He could figure it out when needed. Who was this teacher? Probably one of the new ones he barely bothered to pay attention to. He flipped through the book a bit before putting it down. Not wanting his teacher to think he was spying. Right? The silver haired vampire just put it down.
"What other stuff do you have to get?" Perhaps he could help. Though Keisuke wasn't so sure on that one. It seemed to be night so this person had to be a vampire right? Another person to think of. Yet it didn't matter all this much. The vampire could understand just what Keisuke had to deal with it being one stuck in the same situation. How had he managed to get here with being cooked.
The teacher seemed nice enough at least. | [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellspacing,0,true][atrb=cellpadding,0px,true][cs=2][atrb=vAlign, bottom][atrb=style, width: 420px; background: url('http://i.imgur.com/gdBBi.png'); -moz-border-radius: 0px 0px 30px 30px; -o-border-radius: 0px 0px 30px 30px; border-radius: 0px 0px 30px 30px; -webkit-border-radius: 0px 0px 30px 30px;]i don't know how to be myself how i can become myself |

| This student -- at least, Ivan presumed he was a student from the way he acted -- looked freakishly like his doppelgänger. He was a bit shorter and had less vivid eyes, yes, but he almost certainly had some sort of albinism, and some sort of vampirism assuming he was taking night classes to avoid the sun. They probably could have been mistaken as brothers.
He seemed like a nice enough guy, though. "Thanks," he said as he put down the box next to the front desk, then outstretched his hand to shake, "I'm Ivan Petrov. Are you a student here? I just arrived a few days ago so I haven't met all the staff yet, but from what I've seen so far it's surprisingly difficult to tell the difference." Well, it wasn't really surprising. It was just an unfortunate side effect of designing a school run by and for people with all sorts of different lifespans.
"I have two more boxes downstairs if you want to help... as long as you don't have somewhere you need to be, that is. I don't want to keep you as unwilling manual labor," he replied with a grin as be began walking out the door to get the rest of his things.

It was old and not to the point of falling apart yet, but a few more days it might. Why did he keep that? Unless it had to do with something he taught. Keisuke shook those thoughts away the silver strands falling into his eyes. 'Well this is a bit awkward...' More so because of how they looked. How alike they seemed to be. He didn't really know this person, so as if it was someone related to him.
Just a trick because of appearance. Light skin, vampire fangs but the eyes would give it all away. Thanks? Keisuke almost jumped out of his skin when that was said. More so because he got shocked a little bit by that. Simple. "Ivan...? Yea Name's Keisuke Hiroki Sir." He said sir. Mostly because that boy had manners towards his teacher for the most part.
And it wasn't like the male was allowed to call him by his true name even if he knew it. Most teachers he had talked to before got irritated because of that. It really had to be difficult with all the Supernatural beings running around. Vampires that looked as if they could almost been twins. Case in point right here between these two.
Following the teacher out of the door. He almost felt like a dog being pulled along by a invisible leash. "I guess so. Let's go then...Where were you before this Sir?" Not like he had anything else to do. He had basically avoided any classes he had just for a bit. Too tired to deal with even going into them. For humans who should fear vampires they could be really loud and annoying.
They were just lucky Keisuke would burn if he went out in the sun so he couldn't do anything. | [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellspacing,0,true][atrb=cellpadding,0px,true][cs=2][atrb=vAlign, bottom][atrb=style, width: 420px; background: url('http://i.imgur.com/gdBBi.png'); -moz-border-radius: 0px 0px 30px 30px; -o-border-radius: 0px 0px 30px 30px; border-radius: 0px 0px 30px 30px; -webkit-border-radius: 0px 0px 30px 30px;]i don't know how to be myself how i can become myself |

| Ivan wasn't sure how well he'd take to being called "sir". Despite his chronological age, he hadn't physically aged since the mid-fourteenth century, so he had never really had the opportunity to be treated as an adult. Being addressed as "Mr." or "Sir" was unfamiliar, though not entirely unwelcome. He knew that some students wouldn't feel comfortable calling him by his first name, and he had no intention on demanding to be called by one name or another. So what if it didn't immediately establish a hierarchy of respect? Ideally, he'd earn his students' respect in other ways.
"Well then, Keisuke, it's a pleasure to meet you," he replied, "You can call me Ivan if you'd like. I've never really been one for formalities." That wasn't entirely true. He usually made an effort to introduce himself when he went somewhere new, and he gave respect where it was due. However, restrictive formalities simply weren't conducive to interacting, back-and-forth conversation, learning, and, ultimately, creating. Ivan was hardly a rebel, but he was not "typical" by any stretch of the imagination.
As he led the way through the halls, he continued, "I've been in America the past few years doing research on American Indian cultures and histories, actually. I even got a chance to examine some really ancient artwork." Briefly glancing as Keisuke as he started down the stairs, he suddenly asked, "Do you have any interest in history at all? I don't want to bore you out of your mind with my ramblings." Ivan always seemed to have an openness and honesty about him, even if he was being neither open nor honest. In this case he was being both, though he did neglect to mention that the aim of his research, ultimately, was to show the influence of vampires and werewolves in their mythologies, suggesting that there were supernatural species in Native American cultures before European contact. This would open dozens of doors of inquiry, though they probably wouldn't be all too interesting to most people.

Perhaps on it's own this was an okay thing. It seemed as if he hadn't done anything. The teacher hadn't told him off. Or maybe he was just being too nice for that. He tried not to hold onto those thoughts. He didn't need to get bugged after all of course. With this only being a habit, the vampire almost wanted to sneak off. Just quickly help him with his bags then disappear. As quickly as he could.
Not that it would help all that much. Sighing lightly he could only listen to his teacher. Trying to relax. Not wanting to do something stupid anyway. Keisuke barely felt comfortable with talking to anyone. Maybe only Suzu actually applied there. He could for the most part relax around that Angel. But no one needed to know he made friends with some angel. That shouldn't have mattered in the long run right?
Shaking his head he glanced back up at his teacher. Trying to wrap his mind around this. "I..Ivan? If you say so. Nice to meet you sir." He had to think it was alright. At least for the most part. Just talking to him. It was probably just like talking to Suzu. But on a more teacher and student level instead of friends. He couldn't be a friend with one of his teachers anyway right? It wasn't really possible in to him.
Walking with the teacher he only sighed lightly. This seemed alright to the boy for the most part. Perhaps being nice to his teacher wouldn't actually be so bad. He couldn't be sure of course. "What Art work? That sounds awesome. Though..what is America really like I mean?" Keisuke was asking standard questions. Mostly for someone who hadn't spent that much time there. Most kids in general just didn't unless parents were involved. Right?
"You aren't really boring me. I'm more of a Art history person...but whatever you want to say." He smiled as he walked just folding his arms behind his head. Really this made some sense. Yet he also felt a bit out of place. Only slightly. Really he didn't get some of the teachers though. How could they be so open about things? Or just in general for that matter.
Biting his lip he tried to focus on other matters. Better to not let his mind get the best of him right now. What history was he going to talk about. | [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellspacing,0,true][atrb=cellpadding,0px,true][cs=2][atrb=vAlign, bottom][atrb=style, width: 420px; background: url('http://i.imgur.com/gdBBi.png'); -moz-border-radius: 0px 0px 30px 30px; -o-border-radius: 0px 0px 30px 30px; border-radius: 0px 0px 30px 30px; -webkit-border-radius: 0px 0px 30px 30px;]i don't know how to be myself how i can become myself |

| Yes, this student was definitely a vampire. The scents of the school and other students had made it difficult to isolate his scent, or lack thereof. He managed to figure it out eventually, though, which would make holding a conversation more pleasant. If Ivan could have things his way, he wouldn't hide the existence of the supernatural from humans. However, he also knew that if only some were told it would make their lives incredibly difficult and the fear could cause a bloody racial war. So he would keep the tradition of secrecy for now.
He didn't need to keep nearly as many secrets from supernaturals, though. Hell, if there weren't any humans in his classes the material would be completely different. He wouldn't teach just the history of humans, but the lesser-known histories of vampires, werewolves, and all the rest, and how they all intertwine. People liked to pretend that the supernatural lived in another world altogether, even though these imagined "worlds" were one and the same, influencing each other constantly.
"America is interesting," he replied, "The people are highly individualistic and not too welcoming of strangers for the most part, but once you get to know someone they usually don't hesitate to tell you their opinions. And some of the scenery they have there is really fantastic." Not that he had a chance to see most of it. The combination of not being able to go outside in the sun and not having good night-vision really complicated things. "But some of the art I was looking at was really amazing. Mississippian copperwork is gorgeous if you ever get a chance to see it yourself, and considering the designs and where they were found, it suggests that angels and humans actually coexisted together before European contact. If you're interested some other day, I have the pictures somewhere in my things."
Speaking of his things, Ivan and Keisuke arrived at the location he was keeping the last two boxes, one filled with more books and papers, and the other filled with art supplies. Picking up the former, and probably heavier, box, Ivan paused a moment to give the student a chance to get a good hold on the other. "Ready?"

With a small sigh Keisuke just tried to focus, he didn't want to do something stupid. Or make a fool of himself. It almost annoyed him. Hiding the race they were from all of the world. Made things quite more difficult. '...So he knows already...Well might as well get used to this.' He was a teacher after all Keisuke would be seeing him over and over again. More so if he took his classes, which the boy kinda had to. This always had to be just like normal school.
Doing the best they could. For Keisuke it had been quite weird after all unlike those ones born vampires. Well he had once been human, so he sometimes couldn't wrap his mind around this. Shaking it off the boy smiled at him. "Oh really? Maybe I should go there then it sounds interesting. Though how did you manage to well you know?" He had to wonder where this was going to take him. It didn't actually make much sense. The scenery? Really Keisuke had only seen it through the computer and pictures.
He only remained silent trying to listen to the teacher. Just listening to him keep on talking more and more about the art. It was probably good art. Keisuke might ask if he could go with him next time of course. "Really! I wouldn't mind seeing that. It sounds amazing though I'll probably never be able to go over there. At least not for awhile." It was the truth after all. He worked with it and tried to do the best he could.
Keisuke just needed to finish with school then he could go from there basically. Worked easy enough for him of course. He glanced at the other boxes, it almost seemed as if this had gone faster then he thought. Randomly he appeared with those boxes. It was so weird but better to just ignore it. Could humans and vampires do the same as the angels had? Well they kinda did it already but the humans never noticed.
Keisuke picked up the other box holding it in his arms just giving a small nod. He didn't speak much then. Maybe because he just didn't need to. The boy could work through things on his own the best he possibly could. Keisuke still had that curiosity about his teacher and what he had just done in his many years. | [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellspacing,0,true][atrb=cellpadding,0px,true][cs=2][atrb=vAlign, bottom][atrb=style, width: 420px; background: url('http://i.imgur.com/gdBBi.png'); -moz-border-radius: 0px 0px 30px 30px; -o-border-radius: 0px 0px 30px 30px; border-radius: 0px 0px 30px 30px; -webkit-border-radius: 0px 0px 30px 30px;]i don't know how to be myself how i can become myself |

| Ah, yes, a question he often got from humans who knew about the supernatural: how did he manage? Most vampires had a tendency to stay in familiar territory; if they had to leave, they wouldn't go too far. They liked the comfort of rooms they could enter to avoid the sun whenever they pleased and reliable sources of blood. "Well, to do any sort of traveling to places you've never been, you either need to have friends who live where you're going or need to be comfortable with sleeping out the days in a tent. Plus, as long as the opening's pointed away from the sun, you can see anywhere you want in the day." The only restriction left was the proximity to a food source, which wasn't too difficult to come by as long as long as there was a town or a decent amount of wildlife.
"Oh, I wouldn't say that," replied Ivan in response to the student's comment that he might not be able to go to America for a long time, if ever, "Life has a funny way of shaking things up and changing what paths you can take. All you have to do is look and ask around a bit and something's bound to open up." They were, after all, in a school filled with individuals who had centuries of life to build connections. Ask the right person and you could probably get anywhere you wanted.
After Keisuke nodded, Ivan began walking back. "So are you an artist yourself or just interested in art history? Because either way I have some things you might like. Oh! Have you heard about any of the major vampire or other supernatural artists yet? They don't get nearly enough credit because they have to stay out of the collective awareness of humans, but most of their work is really brilliant." Supernatural-made artwork was definitely an underground circle. If an artist wanted money, they could just claim to be human and go by a number of different names throughout their lifetime. But those who were bold enough to label their works with their own true name, thereby sacrificing their ability to make a name for themselves in human society, they were truly masters of their craft as well as important social commentators. They represented that desire to forego secrecy and attain acceptance: a desire which Ivan, along with countless others had harbored within themselves for years. |

Not knowing exactly what to do. It slightly bugged him, the boy could only work so well. How could this teacher eat? How did he manage food? It was just a bit weird to think about. Blood tablets and the like of course. Pausing the boy thought of what was going to happen. "I guess so. You managed pretty well though it seems. Really you can do that? I didn't think of that..." Keisuke had only thought vampires would explode. Or at least something like that from just being touched by the sun.
It was not his favorite activity. Though maybe one of these times in a vacation he would go with Ivan. Not like his family would go away from him of course? The boy almost wanted to ask him that yet in the long run he might get told No. Which sucked. The fact of the matter was that he didn't really travel with his family. Most of them were off and around somewhere, being normal humans. Keisuke had to work through that rather then holding grudges.
"I guess so. If you think that way." Not that he didn't. Keisuke got a bit confused on his own it did seem to happen a lot. But another subject he should just let go. Anything better then holding onto it right? The boy followed after the teacher. Not wanting to lose sight of him or anything like that of course. "Little bit of both I guess. though my art isn't all that good..other people are better I'm sure. Um. I think there's a few but not really it's not like they announce they aren't human." He wouldn't do that, though he had to wonder if Ivan knew them.
Knew any of them for that matter. He wanted to learn about it, maybe Ivan would show him. But the boy suddenly felt too shy to even ask about that. Couldn't blame him right? No one would if they were smart. So far Keisuke couldn't say he was sure on that one. "Maybe you can show me some of it?" There went the question. Not that he knew how his teacher might react to any of it of course. Anything like that was just on it's own quite weird.
He felt confused and over all just unsure. He didn't want to upset Ivan by saying something stupid. | [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellspacing,0,true][atrb=cellpadding,0px,true][cs=2][atrb=vAlign, bottom][atrb=style, width: 420px; background: url('http://i.imgur.com/gdBBi.png'); -moz-border-radius: 0px 0px 30px 30px; -o-border-radius: 0px 0px 30px 30px; border-radius: 0px 0px 30px 30px; -webkit-border-radius: 0px 0px 30px 30px;]i don't know how to be myself how i can become myself |

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style,vertical-align:top;,true][atrb=valign, top]♜ Мир теперь совсем другой, Мир не тот что был тогда. Мы живем своей судьбой, Не стречаясь никогда.
| "Yeah, as long as you're in the shade of the tent, you're safe. Looking at an area being hit by sunlight is kind of like walking around the light of a full moon. It's all just reflected light from the sun, which isn't enough to burn," he replied, "It's generally a good thing to know your limits and what you can and can't do." Primarily because ignorance of yourself was a terrifying position to be in. When Ivan was young and quite new to being a vampire, he was caught off-guard by weaknesses you never knew about. He had no idea what a vampire was, so of course he tried to go out in the sun without thinking, then find shelter in a church, then in a home of some people who didn't invite him in. After the first few surprises, the paranoia that everything was out to get him set in, and wouldn't leave until many decades later when he began figuring out what he was really capable of. So of course he'd be imparting that knowledge to his students who might be fairly new to vampirism or who simply had a neglectful sire (like he himself had). Really, it was depressing how many inexperienced vampires jumped to cliché conclusions, like that they had to hunt down humans and kill them from blood loss just to sustain themselves.
Keisuke's words suggested that he doubted Ivan's advice about the fluidity of life's opportunities. In response, he just grinned and said "You'll see what I mean eventually." He didn't have precognition or any similar abilities allowing him to see into the future, but he was old enough to have watched enough people's lives to know the truth behind his words. Change was the core essence in life; without it, people would merely exist in a static limbo.
That was one of the primary reasons Ivan loved art. It was fluid, and moved and fluctuated with the times. Many pieces had a core theme, yes, but they could mean different things from different points of view and social contexts. Despite not being alive in the biological sense, it could still speak and grow. "Have you ever heard the phrase "every artist is their own worst critic"? From what I've seen, that's usually true," Ivan noted with a small, though reassuring smile as he kept his steady pace down the hall, "As long as you enjoy making it, don't worry about matching up to the more experienced guys. If you really want to, you'll get there... maybe a bit more slowly than the average human, but getting acknowledged is still doable."
Ivan did indeed know a few internationally acknowledged supernatural artists, some who had even mingled with human art circles. Although Ivan lived almost exclusively with humans in the beginning of his life, he had begun to discover how to find supernatural friends in more recent decades. He knew artists, writers, and even publishers of various non-human species who discussed various social, political, and moral issues that most humans simply wouldn't believe to be true or relevant to their lives.
"Of course I can show you some of it," Ivan said, glad that Keisuke had a genuine interest in this and wasn't just going along with him to appease his teacher, "I actually have a whole folder of pictures from an art convention for supernaturals held in America a few months back. If I'm not mistaken, I think it's actually somewhere in that box you're carrying. I'm not sure, though, so if it's not there then you're welcome to drop by any time after I've gotten all of this organized... Especially if you're interested in really old art history. My apartment here looks like a library just from all those books and pictures." Indeed, his apartment was filled with his own notes and pictures, along with books you wouldn't find at your average library and essays written by archeologist and anthropologist acquaintances. He had a wealth of information and could think of nothing better to do with it than share it with others.

Did that work. Keisuke had never exactly tried that even on road trips he would hide under the seats. Or in a spell little place his family made for him. They didn't mind him being a vampire, and having to schedule things around it. Mostly because they got to do things with him, and spend a lot of time out and about at night. His family had become used to what he was. And Keisuke usually tried to keep the schedules they had. "I guess so. still sounds a bit weird to me but if you say so." Smiling Keisuke thought about it. Just standing out there and looking around.
Finding interesting things. Though if he couldn't touch them he felt really horrible and didn't like the idea either. It would bug him quite a lot more then he wished to admit. Pausing Keisuke reached up to move his hair out of his eyes again. True that was a good idea even if he couldn't say he openly approved of those things really. Keisuke learning his limits might end up allowing someone to hurt him, or drag him down in some way. It's just not the way he liked to go with things. But those thoughts were quickly shaken away.
The vampire being what he was. Well it worried him, he didn't like the idea of knowing if he could burn just by walking outside. Ah well. Another matter to deal with at another time when Keisuke needed to. He really did doubt the other mans words. But more then that he doubted himself and wanted to forget that. As if it would even help of course, he might just be getting himself into a lot of trouble. "I will? Well if you say I'll at least try to believe that much." It couldn't hurt to try, even if it might not get them anywhere anytime soon right? Sighing lightly he shook the darker thoughts away and tried to focus again.
Keisuke paused and kept listening. Letting him talk, yes he knew that much but he didn't think of it. Did it apply with him? Perhaps. Keisuke always judged things he did a lot harder then he should. It wouldn't help him out in any form if he kept that up. "I have...but just never thought it applied to me...But I suppose you have a point." Really he did. So Keisuke wouldn't push things. It would be a bit weird for him in any form, he couldn't say he was pleased that part of him had begun to agree to this. But maybe Ivan was getting under his shell ever so slightly.
He could only nod and barely speak. Not that he even knew what to say right now to anything that was going on. Keisuke knew the other had a point but he at the same time he couldn't say he approved. Or knew how to approve of that anyway. He had whole folders of pictures? Maybe Keisuke would learn so much with this. And he couldn't wait. Smiling Keisuke gave a small nod and tried to control his excitement. Trying and failing of course right about now.
"Really!? Well I can't wait to see it I mean...I won't push. Whenever you can find it of course..Being a teacher is it hard work?" He couldn't help asking Keisuke wanted to know after all. Wow his apartment looked like that? He couldn't wait to see if he ever could. Well it all depended some people got the wrong idea of teachers and students in the same place alone. Whether they were both male or not it didn't matter. | [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellspacing,0,true][atrb=cellpadding,0px,true][cs=2][atrb=vAlign, bottom][atrb=style, width: 420px; background: url('http://i.imgur.com/gdBBi.png'); -moz-border-radius: 0px 0px 30px 30px; -o-border-radius: 0px 0px 30px 30px; border-radius: 0px 0px 30px 30px; -webkit-border-radius: 0px 0px 30px 30px;]i don't know how to be myself how i can become myself |
